| Sanyu Introduces Latest Model From VR Press Series |
| Maumee, Ohio, January 03, 2008 |
Sanyu has introduced the STI-1.0-110VR, the latest rubber injection molding machine from its high-performance VR series. The 110VR has a standard clamping pressure of 110 metric tons and platen size of 500mm x 500mm. As with the other presses from the VR series, the 110VR has an extra wide ram cylinder to provide more even clamping pressure distribution. It is ergonomically designed with an operating height of 910mm and rubber strip feeding is performed at floor level. The press also has a standard mold slide and external ejectors to give the operator easier access to parts. There are many features designed to improve ease of maintenance such as the nozzle stroke of 300mm, which enables the nozzle to be lifted clear from the upper bolster. The press is controlled by a high performance Mitsubishi Q-Series PLC, which has a memory capacity of up to 80 recipes. A 10" position-adjustable operation screen is located at the front of the press giving the operator easy access to production data, machine status, alarms and diagnostics etc. The positions of the injection plunger, clamping unit, nozzle and ejectors are measured accurately using linear scales. The STI-1.0-110VR compliments the STI-1.6-160VR and STI-1.6-220VR as the smallest press in the VR range. Further information about the press can be found on the 110VR web page.
